Girls Do It Better
Renovation: Coffee Corner
Projects
Some of the older homes in Galveston have nooks and crannies that have been modified over the years. And sometimes it seems impossible to make them useful. This makeshift, very shallow kitchen storage closet fashioned around an ill-placed air conditioner shaft was converted to a charming coffee center with extra storage space underneath. The side closet was perfect for mops and brooms - for the tall door, some original kitchen cabinet doors found in the attic were repurposed.
New Build: Chicken Coop
Now these are some spoiled chickens! The client wanted to use a large vegetable garden box to build a coop for her newly acquired hens and roosters. Instead of immediately buying supplies, there were enough leftover materials from previous home improvement projects to build on top of the box. Pink is her favorite color, and it seems the chickents kind of liked it, too!
Renovation: Bathroom
What do you do with a pink bathtub that weighs a ton? The owner did not want to go through the trouble of removal, so we decided to integrate it into a brand new design. New wallpaper, ceiling, lighting, cabinetry and tile to bring a worn out bathroom back to life. We like to think it's now the cutest little bathroom in Texas!
